DeCypher® 8.5 and Core Admin Module Preview

Exciting new features that will be included in DeCypher 8.5, due Fall 2009:

• New Command Line Interface with simplified command set improves usage and adoption
  
  
• Job and database management is now available through a web interface at the DeCypher server
  
  
• System usage will be tracked by job to assist in validating system utility
  
  
• Softmasking enables masked nucleotides to be utilized in Tera-BLASTN extension and alignments
  
  
• Updated printed documentation (Web Interface, CLI, and Administration) will be included with this release. These manuals provide system customization details and tutorials on DeCypher user interfaces.
  

The Core Admin Module further enhances DeCypher 8.5’s feature set:

• Web-based user authentication adds new security and group-level database sharing
  
  
• Remote management of jobs, databases and results is available for all users
  
  
• Fully detailed usage tracking (by user and job) for cost-recovery accounting. This also simplifies management of proprietary projects for commercial organizations.
  
  
• Administrators can govern system usage limits and job priority on a user-level basis
